The timeline below shows the journey that Southbase has been on with school projects across New Zealand. Our latest D&C school project is Lemonwood Grove Stage 3. This proven and tested design has been used as the basis for the PPP Expansions.

2013
Southbase commence first school project with St Margaret’s College on a Build only contract.
2014
Southbase commence first D&C school with West Rolleston with the belief that our design could create time, cost and quality efficiencies.
2016

Commencement of Lemonwood Grove D&C. This kick started our Off-Site Manufacturing capability by utilising OSM panels for walls and the roof.
2016

Commencement of the award-winning Christchurch Library under a D&C contract further bolstering the Southbase design capability.
2017

Southbase commence the PPP3 contracts for Shirley Boys', Avonside Girls', Matua Ngaru Kumeu, Te uho o te Nikau Flatbush.
2018
Tapuānuku Case Study Web 3
Commencement of the University of Canterbury Garden Hall Project. This was a 530 bed student accomodation block under a D&C contract providing our Southbase design systems can operate with repeatability and scale.
2019
Commencement of the Wakatipu PPP design and construction project.
2020
Southbase commence the Hobsonville, Rolleston & Wakatipu volumetric modulars programme.
2021
Southbase commence the University of Otago Te Rangihiroa Student Accomodation project, a D&C project fpr a 450 bed block that further enhances our repeatability and scalability design systems.
2024
Southbase commence Lemonwood Grove Stage 3. This is our 26th D&C school project and is the basis for our PPP Expansion Design.
