About the role

The Quantity Surveyor provides direction to the Site Management Team as required on the financial status and forecasting of the project.

The Quantity Surveyor ensures safety, quality, cost, and time requirements are adhered to throughout the duration of the contract, including the maintenance period that follows.You will be stepping into a project that fits with your skills and experience with progression opportunities to stretch yourself under individual mentoring and guidance. 

This role will see you support with project financial planning/project set up, working with project and site managers to understand construction methodologies, tender management, managing subcontractors claims, managing and processing variations, final account work in terms of cost reporting and reconciliations. Client engagement, site visits and HSE are all part of this role. 

As a key member of the Commercial department, the Quantity Surveyor must lead by example, championing our ‘Inside the Box’ culture, providing day-to-day guidance and mentoring of team members, whilst directly and indirectly contributing towards day-to-delivery.

Key Skills/Competencies:

As a Intermediate QS, you will provide day-to-day guidance to your team members and support to your SQS

Be responsible for the reporting and monitoring of internal budgets and claims involving your project

Build strong industry relationships with subcontractors and clients/stakeholders

Work with the Operational team to produce construction methodologies and programs which accurately define the project and comply with the contract requirements

You will ensure your team and all personnel comply to Quality & HSE guidelines on site

You will have:

Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying

Strong background as a strong Intermediate Quantity Surveyor in large commercial projects with a main contractor, with at least 5 years experience.
