About this role

If you would like to be a part of a team that values agility, integrity, excellence, pride, and safety, we are currently looking for an HSE Advisor to join our team.

As a HSE Advisor, you will need:

Proven HSE Management Experience: Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining best practice HSE strategies and systems across multiple projects, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.

Audit and Compliance Expertise: Strong ability to conduct internal audits to verify that company HSE processes are in place, adding value, and being adhered to. Experience in ensuring legislative compliance and supporting external audits.

Training and Development Skills: Proficiency in providing comprehensive training on HSE practices to ensure compliance by all staff and contractors/sub-contractors. Ability to organize and facilitate region-wide HSE training and promote internal competencies.

Incident Management and Reporting: Expertise in leading incident investigations, developing appropriate corrective actions, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of incidents. Ability to produce monthly regional HSE reports and maintain up-to-date HSE reporting data.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Strong skills in building positive working relationships with project stakeholders, including construction managers, project teams, clients, and subcontractors. Ability to promote and encourage the proactive adoption of HSE protocols.

You will have

A bachelor's degree, diploma, or certificate in a relevant field such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

3-5 years New Zealand experience in a similar role

The ability to engage and influence the proactive uptake of Health, Safety, and environmental protocols with a large workforce

Desire to promote the importance and advantages of operating within a positive HSE culture within the company.

Solid legislative and technical HS&E knowledge. Be responsible for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of “best practice” HS&E strategies, guidelines, and systems

Experience in conducting detailed accident/incident investigations
