About the role:

This role will support more experienced Designer or Design Managers on larger or more complex projects and/or lead the design process on small scale projects

The Assistant Design Manager will work to develop an exceptional understanding of the design process across all disciplines to assist in managing discipline interfaces and the sequencing of design activities

As a pivotal member of the Pre-Construction team, this role must positively contribute to the team, championing the Company’s ‘Inside the Box’ culture, whilst directly and indirectly contributing to day-to-day delivery, building our reputation with clients and external parties, and running our projects in a profitable manner

This role will also support our Sustainability capability by working towards achieving a Homestar & Greenstar accreditation, with the goal of ultimately leading sustainability for projects and preparing Greenstar or Homestar submissions for Preformance & Southbase projects.

In this role, you will be based in either Auckland or Hamilton

You will have:

Experience: 3-4 years in commercial or residential construction within a main contractor or Architectural company

Degree Qualified in Architecture

Working towards gaining a Professional Qualification (Architectural Registration) is desirable

BIM: Competent in the use of Revit.
