Dates July 2016 - May 2017
A two level campus administration block built with a combination of pre-cast panels and structural steel, with an exterior zinc cladding and a feature atrium to be constructed. After early contractor involvement, Southbase was able to complete piling works in late 2015/early 2016. This has meant that the structure commenced at an optimum time to keep the project on track.
Southbase were involved in this project from the early stages, participating in an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contract that included piling works before officially starting on the main build.
Southbase were engaged to undertake Value Engineering for the main build, undertaking several rounds to provide large savings for the client.
Southbase has worked closely with the consultants and client on the project to provide a number of value engineering options to ensure a satisfactory final price. The ECI on this project allowed Southbase to become well acquainted with the project providing the opportunity for site management to decide upon effective, time saving methodologies for the overall build.
