At Southbase, we’re committed to transforming the construction sector for good through sustainable building. Retaining Toitū Net Carbon Zero certification for a second year is a meaningful achievement for us.

Toitū Net Carbon Zero involves annual greenhouse gas emissions measurement to international standard ISO 14064-1. We’re proud to be the only construction company of our scale to include and offset emissions generated on site in line with this standard.

One of the key elements of our sustainability strategy is our OATAS reporting platform, through which we track carbon and social data. This process allows all our construction sites to have an overview of their carbon emissions, water use, fuel use, waste composition, and more. It also gives us the ability to generate customised monthly reports for our clients.

So, this achievement is important not only for us, but also for our clients, as it assures them that the emissions from their project are being managed and mitigated. This certification is a true testament to our efforts in eliminating carbon emissions and reducing waste in the construction sector. Thanks to our collective hard work, from our engineers to our site crews, we actively embed sustainability into our operations.
