Task:
Southbase came on as the ECI contractor for this re-strengthening project, which included the cladding and structural works of a warehouse in a busy industrial location.
This project included strengthening and recladding of nearly 10,000m2 of industrial building.
Tenants of the Business Education School and Wool Store remained operational throughout, with no negative impact on students or clients.
Solution:
The project was proactively led by the Southbase team, who completed the re-strengthening of this building. Due to the age of the building we uncovered a number of risk items. Our response was to provide the client with a number of cost effective solutions and action them in a timely manner. The result was successful delivery of a smart, re-cladded building and a satisfied client who is happy with the final product.
The Southbase project team had to manage and track a significant amount of design and scope changes for this project. We responded to these challenges using precise RFI, timely variation pricing as well as accurate forecasting and reporting of final costs.
