Our Executive Leadership Team has been working together for over ten years. With significant industry experience behind them (over 25 years for some) they have delivered many of New Zealand’s best-known buildings.
We have 132 full time staff nationwide that is supported by Southbase Labour, a fully owned subsidiary of Southbase Construction. Southbase Labour currently has a direct and in-direct workforce of approximately 100 skilled resources in the concrete and carpentry trades.
Quin’s career has comprised of executive leadership roles in significant and complex projects in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. With extensive experience governing and directing highly successful project teams and committed to his hometown of Christchurch, Quin established Southbase in 2013. Quin leads Southbase by envisioning and empowering his team to work collaboratively, producing the very best results for their clients.
Chief Financial Officer
Antony (Ant) has significant professional experience in senior financial and commercial roles within the construction and infrastructure sectors. A chartered accountant with international experience, he brings many years of staff mentoring and management to complement his financial and commercial expertise.
Commercial Business Manager
Will has worked in the construction industry for the past 18 years and brings a wealth of commercial management experience to Southbase. Will has a strong financial and construction management background having worked on many major projects throughout New Zealand such as the MOE PPP3 Primary School roll out, The Crossing Retail Precinct and the Christchurch Bus Interchange.
Engineering, Design & Innovation Manager
Shawn has been working in the construction industry for over 25 years, beginning as an apprentice trade carpenter and working his way up to project manager roles on some of the most prestigious projects in the South Island. Throughout his career Shawn has earned a reputation for delivering high quality results in the most challenging projects, using his extensive knowledge in construction to manage the process from design right through to completion.
South Island Manager
Adam oversees the Southern region and is accountable for all operational and commercial aspects of the business. He is adept at developing commercial strategies, undertaking high level contract and tender negotiations and advises the Executive Management team on matters relating to commercial opportunities and risks associated with projects to ensure the financial success of this business unit.
North Island Manager
Paul has a strong management background and has a passion for being actively involved in setting strategic company directions and identifying new markets for geographical growth while developing the resources and capabilities required. Paul has a strong focus for health and safety and is an advocate for developing safety leadership throughout the region to enhance behavior and culture.
People & Performance Manager
Josie is a seasoned HR professional with a wealth of experience in NZ and the UK. She prides herself on being a people person and believes that successful businesses are those that put people firmly at the heart of everything they do. Josie has a passion for building leadership capability across the business, growing and developing people to be the best that they can.
