About the project
Built on the northern end of the Mason Clinic campus, the new building will provide accommodation for up to 60 people across three levels, doubling the size of the current facilities. It will also be the first high-secure facility built in New Zealand since 1999 and include therapeutic activity spaces and training facilities.
Our approach
Working alongside Te Whatu Ora, the Southbase team has been tasked as the Main Works Contractor for the 2, 30-bed inpatient wings as well as the three-storey shared activity and support area.
The building has been registered with the New Zealand Green Building Council and will be constructed to achieve Green Star Level 5 certification, representing a great step forward for the facility in sustainability goals.
Our team is looking forward to meeting the required benchmarks along the way and, as always, is determined to deliver another on time and on budget project.
