The Queenstown region is undoubtedly growing fast. It’s how its newly constructed high school reached full capacity just three years after opening its doors. And why this extension project, one with new vital new learning spaces and sports amenities, is so important.
About the project
To make room for a further 600 students (taking the total roll to 1,800), we delivered two teaching wings, new learning spaces, a lecture room, a double-court gym, and 16 purpose-built temporary teaching spaces for the duration of the project.
Our approach
One of the challenges of this project was working in a functioning school. With students and faculty using the school and learning taking place, we ran a construction programme that ensured minimal disruption and risk. To ensure this, we used leading construction technology like augmented reality to support efficiencies.
