Chief Information and Technology Officer at Southbase
Tim leads technology, data, cyber security and digital strategy at Southbase, with more than 25 years of technology leadership.
He joined in 2026 as Southbase’s first Chief Information and Technology Officer, a role created to put technology at the centre of how Southbase plans, builds and delivers. His focus is practical: better tools, better data and safer systems for project teams, with every technology investment showing up on site.
Tim’s career spans construction, manufacturing, FinTech and education. He spent a decade at EDS/HP managing a US$85 million delivery portfolio, and delivered directly into Fletcher Building Group and Carter Holt Harvey with Microsoft NZ. Most recently he was CIO and CISO at Buckley Systems and Skills Group. At Skills Group he merged seven technology environments into a single cloud platform and led one of New Zealand’s earliest enterprise AI deployments.
